Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was named Super Bowl XLVII’s MVP, and with that title comes a really sweet ride.
Flacco was given keys to a 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, presented to the quarterback from Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a New Orleans car dealership that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
“Banner Chevrolet and the entire city of New Orleans have been through so much since the storm, we felt this was a small gesture to bring the comeback story full circle,” said Alan Batey, GM vice president of U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing. “With the Super Bowl in his backyard, we couldn’t think of a better guy to have the honor of awarding the MVP with his Corvette Stingray.”
The Dodge Ram Truck Super Bowl Commercial featured Paul Harvey’s Tribute to Farmers. The two-minute ad from the Super Bowl featured Paul Harvey’s speech “So God Made a Farmer,” which he gave in 1978 at the National Future Farmers of America Convention.

Fans of the Fast and Furious franchise will be exited to know that the trailer for the latest installment will air during the Super Bowl.
According to teaser-trailer.com, actor Vin Diesel said, “Six years ago, we dared to dream that Fast and Furious could be something significant … special … And yet, I don’t think anyone is prepared for what will happen in 2013.”
Fast and Furious 6 will star Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, and at this time is scheduled to hit theaters on May 23.
Many automakers that have made commercials for this year’s Super Bowl have already leaded their ads on video sharing websites.
Volkswagen’s ad for the big game features a Caucasian male walking around an office speaking in a Jamaican accent, which has drawn much criticism from some, claiming that its racist.
Scott Vazin, a VW spokesman said in an interview with Mercury News that the whole intent of the commercial was about making people happy. “The idea is to put a smile on your face. It’s simple and human and humorous.”
Vazin also said in the article that the company “never set out to be controversial” with the ad, and the company has a backup ad ready to go for Sunday’s game, just in case.
