Not all of us had the luxury of owing a Power Wheels vehicle when we were younger, but one dad has introduced his sons to off-roading in a unique way with this creative video of a little friendly competition.
We told you back in December about a new racing series coming this spring, the Stadium Super Truck series. And before the series premiers in April, the organization has been releasing teaser videos to give fans an idea of what they can expect to see.
We also have racer Jessie Johnson shooting PowerBlock with us today, and he’ll be telling you more about the SST racing series a little later!
In the video below, Robby Gordon takes an SST out on the short section of the 2013 King of the Hammers course. Apparently the cops came out, and according to SST’s youtube account, they stopped Robby to tell him that he was too fast for their track.
The video below was taken at Gravelrama 40 in Cleves, Ohio in 2010. When we came across this video, you could imagine that we were surprised to see how this Mustang performed against some of the other off-road vehicles. Wait for it at 2:10.
The video below was taken at the Shanty Creek Schuss Mountains a few years ago, and features a battle between two off-road rigs as they race up in a snow-covered hill.
Also, we will be tweeting LIVE this weekend with NEW shows on POWERBLOCK! Make sure you’re following us on Twitter because we want to hear from you! Follow us here: @PowerBlock TV.

This video from Live Leak shows us that you don’t have to let a little ice and snow ruin your fun with your ride, that is, of course, if you’ve got the right gear to get out in it. For our off-road enthusiasts, you know that winter often means a little extra fun, and an excuse to raise a little extra hell.
Stadium Super Trucks is an up-coming off-road series that will begin in 2013 and consist of 12 stadium truck racing events across the country. According to the series’ website, the first off-road racing event takes place in April.
The trucks will be modeled after manufacturer replicas, and they’ll insist of at least 600 HP V8 engines with 20-inch wheels, the site says.
“Stadium racing helped Jimmie Johnson, Casey Mears and myself launch our careers,” Robby Gordon, President of SST, said on the website. “Bringing off-road racing back to the stadium like Mickey Thompson did has been something that I have wanted to do for a long time, and I am proud to say that we have finally accomplished it. SST offers attractive racing venues, remarkable track designs, substantial purse, and opportunity for network TV a lot like NASCAR because you can visualize the whole track.”
myPowerBlock Member Chris Call says this was taken at Bronco Alley at Katemcy in Texas, where it looks like his 4×4 got a little stuck.

We saw this in our Twitter feed earlier from Corvette Blogger, and believe it or not, someone is actually selling it on Craigslist.
According to the posting, it’s a 1980 Corvette frame that packs a 350 with a high-rise manifold and dual quads. The owner says it’s “professionally built,” and it comes with new rims and tires, new interior and “nice paint.”
And of course it’s a “must-see.” Indeed.
The owner says he’s asking $10,900 for it, but is open to trades. Check out the rest of the posting here.
