A dash cam video out of Russia captures a car spontaneously combusting while stuck in a traffic jam. The vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames, and the possibility of oil on the road may have caused the fiery incident.

Bus carrying high school team catches fire on interstate

A bus carrying a junior varsity football team catches fire before their first game of the season.

John Garrow, principal of Central Catholic High School, said in the YouTube video description that everyone made it off the bus safely.

Firefighters were able to recover some of the the team’s gear off of the bus, but how much was saved wasn’t specified. Blue Star Transportation, the bus operating company, didn’t comment about what happened.

The driver also declined to comment.

A replacement bus and a couple of vans picked up the students and took them back to their high school. A reason for the bus fire wasn’t given.

64 cars destroyed in BBQ fire in Brittany, France

A barbecue got out of hand in Brittany, France, this week when a couple of intoxicated men failed to put out their grill before attending a stunt show.

According to a story from The Local, about 40 firefighters were sent to put out a fire that destroyed 64 vehicles, causing thousands of dollars (euros) in damage.

The two men told French police that they thought they extinguished everything before heading off to the show, but are now facing prison time and will have to pay damages to the vehicle owners.

Dirt track driver manages to finish fifth after surviving fiery wreck

Dirt track racer Mike Stofflet was competing at the Mahoning Valley Speedway in Pennsylvania when he wrecked on the course.

Within a few seconds, his vehicle erupted into flames. (Note the gasoline you see in the video.)

Thankfully, he was rescued from the burning car without injury and even managed to finish fifth.
