Panda Monster Truck was built by Fiat on a Jeep floor

Fiat isn’t often a brand you think of when you wanna go off road. But this fully-operational monster truck combines a Panda 4×4 with a Jeep CJ7 4200 floor panel, and stands at 153 inches tall, 149.6 inches long and 98.4 inches wide.

Multiple media outlets have reported that the monster truck version of this Fiat Panda 4×4 will appear in a TV commercial and tell the story of four friends who set off for a weekend in the mountains. The commercial will only air in Europe, and is scheduled to debut in 2013.

Chrysler to release 200 with 9-speed transmission

Chrysler has been under a microscope over the past couple of years by critics and consumers since the automaker has been taken over by Sergio Marchionne. The CEO told the Wall Street Journal that it’s vital for Chrysler to become a player in midsize sedans, but the company is still behind its American competition.

According to the WSJ, Chrysler is spending $2 billion to create a new 200 that would feature a nine-speed transmission and get 38 miles to the gallon in an effort to boost sales. Marchionne told the WSJ that increasing sedan sales would also influence purchases SUVs and smaller vehicles.

Consumers can probably expect to see the new 200 come to dealer lots at the beginning of 2014.
