Next-Gen Mustangs could sport GT350 nameplate

Rumors continue to fly as bloggers, experts and enthusiasts try to uncover details about the next generation of Ford Mustangs, and the latest buzz going around the auto community claims that the new nameplate has been revealed.

Mustangs Daily, as well as several others, are reporting that the much-anticipated Ford muscle car will hold the Shelby GT350 name. Autoblog says to expect the new GT350 to be quite a bid different than the current GT500, saying it will be all-motor and use a V8 that’s derived from the naturally 5.0-liter Coyote engine.

Of course one can expect it to produce more power.

Mustang Daily says Ford will offer the GT350 as a 2016 model and that a new Mach 1 Mustang will also be coming for that year.

A 50th anniversary edition is expected for the 2015 year.
