Residents of a Florida neighborhood were suspicious of a man who was going door-to-door begging people for gas money.
One resident contacted the local police department and provided a description of the man.
According to clickorlando.com, an officer responded to the call and said he saw a red 2009 Cadillac CTS four-door matching the description of a stolen vehicle. Upon further investigation, authorities said in the story that they discovered the man was in possession of a Cadillac key fob belonging to the stolen vehicle.
When the man attempted to flee, he was tasered. (Sorry, we don’t have video of that.)
Police took an inventory of items in the stolen vehicle, and found that those items were also stolen in a previous burglary of an unoccupied residence. The suspect was reported to have thrown a patio block through the window of the residence to break into the home and take additional items, the story said.
The man was charged with burglary, grand theft motor vehicle, criminal mischief, escape, resisting a law enforcement officer without violence, and throwing a deadly missile into an unoccupied dwelling, ClickOrlando reported.
