Estate of Jackass star Ryan Dunn faces wrongful death lawsuit after car accident
Over the past decade, MTV’s “Jackass” has caused quite the controversy with its risqué stunts, and many of the show’s stars have been in trouble outside of the show’s filming.
But there’s one incident that will likely haunt the show’s crew forever.
On June 20, two people died in a car accident just before 3 a.m. when a Porsche 911 GT3 being driven by Jackass star Ryan Dunn veered off the road.
According to philly.com, the parents of the passenger is now suing Dunn’s estate as well as the bar that served him alcohol that night.
The wrongful death suit was filed in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and seeks unspecified punitive and compensatory damages, the story said.
The suit alleges that the bar was obligated under Pennsylvania law to refuse to serve intoxicated patrons (referencing Ryan Dunn). And one factor that may come back to bite Dunn’s estate in the lawsuit is that he posted a photo to Twitter, showing himself drinking with the two other guys he was with.
Dunn had consumed at least 3 beers and 3 shots of liquor at that bar, the story said.
