This old school Mopar mill began life as a 400. But the HorsePower guys didn’t think it was good enough. It was stroked to 451 cubic inches using a 440 crank. Borrowing from the 440, we felt it was necessary to top it with the period-correct and incredibly popular Mopar 6-pack. Holley re-introduced the 6-pack carburetors due to popular demand, and were placed atop the Mopar performance/Edelbrock 6-pack intake manifold.
Next season on an episode of HorsePower, the guys put our 451 on the dyno and see what kind of power they can get out of it.
