Consumer Reports reviews Camaro, Challenger

Consumer Reports reviewed the Chevy Camaro, the Dodge Challenger and the Fiat 500C. Here’s a summary of what they had to say:

The Camaro First-generation classic with abundant, smooth power, but the design isn’t practical because it imposes limitations of visibility. The Dodge Challenger was seen as “pure retro” with its “ ‘70s’inspired paint-and-stripes combination.”

Between the two, Consumer Reports said that the Challenger is the “boulevard cruiser,” because its size is enough to “discourage corner-carving on public roads.” Though they said the Camaro is a full second quicker to 0-60 mph, it was “less fun getting there.”

“The Challenger has all the engine rumble, exhaust burble and extroverted attitude to transform even the slowest drive into a good time,” Consumer Reports said. “It’s not the fastest, most agile vehicle, but undeniably makes its presence known.”

And which vehicle was “torturous” to drive? The Fiat 500C, of course.
