Chrysler’s RAM offers competitive edge over Ford F-150

USA Today is reporting that Chrysler’s Ram want to challenge Ford in the battle over fuel economy.

Though official numbers haven’t been released yet, executives are claiming that Chrysler’s Ram posts better mileage numbers than Ford with it’s turbocharged V-6, according to the story.

The story says the best-in=class numbers will go to the re-engineered 1500 pickup’s with a Pentastar V-6 engine teamed with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

As of now, Ford MPG numbers stand at 17 miles per gallon for city driving and 23 miles per gallon for the two-wheel drive Ford F-150 and its Ecoboost turbo engine.
