According to NBC Connecticut, four people were taken to a local hospital after a car went airborne, slammed into a gas station and caught fire.

“This is a really horrific scene,” said Fairfiel police spokesman Lt. James Perez in the story. “The damage is tremendous.”

In addition to the car that struck the gas station, three other vehicles were damaged

A good samaritan was able to put out the fire with an extinguisher from the gas station, police said in the story.

Thankfully, no injuries were life-threatening, but the driver of the car was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.
