The cheesy 2-minute ad featured a volcano erupting in the middle of the desert, with smoke and flames surrounding the SS 350 as the muscle car’s highlights were described in the narrator’s deep voice.
The pressure to advertise likely came from Ford, who introduced a major re-design of the Mustang for the 1967 model year.
